Planking & Plating / LVCVA Floor Load Limits / Heavy Equipment Procedures
Planking & Plating:
Exhibitors with equipment weighing more than 250,000 pounds must submit a site plan showing the location of each piece of heavy equipment.
Labor is included. If additional labor is required, additional labor charges will apply based on Straight Time or Overtime. Additional labor may include, but is not limited to, additional movement after first delivery, steel or plywood required outside of regular work schedule, off target situations, or other extenuating circumstances.
Floor Load Limits
- Heavy equipment being brought into the South Hall second level and the C3 concourse and Central Hall 3-4 may require advance review and approval by a structural engineering firm at the expense of the exhibitor.
- The floor load limit on the Central 3 Concourse is 175 pounds per square foot. The floor load limit on the second level of the South Hall is 300 pounds per square foot. All other exhibit areas are unlimited; however, any equipment 250,000 pounds or heavier must submit a detailed floor plan to the LVCC Building Engineering Department at 3150 Paradise Road; Las Vegas, NV 89109. Heavy Equipment Procedures
- Equipment with smooth tracks over 250,000 pounds must be moved on one-inch plywood outside and inside of the building (included in the AEM freight package).
- Equipment with cleated tracks over 250,000 pounds must be move on one-inch steel plates outside and inside of the building (additional expense as noted below).
