
Cord Labor Rules & Regulations
Important information
Utility services for all 120-volt power provided by the facility does not include the installation of cords to specific areas within the booth space. Freeman labor, exhibitor appointed contractor labor, or the exhibitor can perform this work. Rental carpet and padding will not be installed until the cord installation is completed.
For installation of cords for high voltage power, 208-volt and over, please contact the facility electrical department.
Ordering information
Power in inline and peninsula booths will be installed in one location, typically on the floor somewhere along the back of the booth, as indicated in the following diagrams.

Power for island booths will typically consist of one or more main drop locations. See examples below.

Cord labor orders should include a floor plan. The floor plan must indicate booth dimensions, surrounding booth numbers for orientation within the facility, each outlet location, required wattage or amperage and location for main drop.
Schedule and supervision
Exhibitor or exhibitor appointed contractor supervised labor
- Start times for labor is guaranteed only at the start of the workday.
- If no time is requested, labor will be available on a first come, first serve basis.
- Labor must be picked up at the Freeman Service Center. Charges for labor commence at time of dispatch to service the labor call.
- Labor charges will include the time for labor to gather the necessary tools and materials for the job, have their work checked by the client and return the tools and materials to the supply area.
Freeman supervised labor
- Installation of electrical cords will be completed prior to flooring installation, at Freeman’s discretion
- Freeman must receive detailed blueprints or floor plan for power distribution
Rates, equipment, and materials
Rate Information
- Show site labor rates will apply to all labor orders placed at show site.
- Rates for service are per person, per hour with a one hour minimum and thereafter in half hour increments.
- Labor rates are based on current wage scales and are subject to change in the event of a wage increase after rates have been published.
- Dismantle labor will be automatically charged at 50% of the installation time and rounded to the next half hour (1 hour minimum.)
- Dismantle labor will be performed on straight time whenever possible.
Freeman equipment
- All material and equipment provided by Freeman is for rental purposes only and remains the property of Freeman. All equipment will be removed at the close of the show by Freeman.
